Wayne County Healthy Communities (WCHC) has always gone above and beyond to provide affordable healthcare services to all community members.  Many of our patients have barriers to accessing healthcare such as no or limited transportation, immigrant/refugee status, low health literacy, and are low income. Language barriers are additionally significant in which over 66% of our patients speak Arabic and Bangla. To expand access to healthcare, our diverse team provides primary care, behavioral health, substance and opioid treatment, dental care, and  insurance enrollment in several languages. Our frontline healthcare workers are also working diligentely to provide free COVID-19 testing and free masks to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. We are working harder than ever to ensure healthcare services are offered in a safe manner while maintaining a high standard of care.

Like so many others, our world has been turned upside down by the COVID-19 crisis. One of our clinics closed in mid-March while the other reduced its hours to protect the safety and health of our dedicated team. It is taking us many months  and hours to bring the clinic back up to speed and provide care to our community.

Help us continue to make sure that EVERY patient who walks through our doors:

  • Has a way to get to and from their healthcare appointments & COVID-19 testing appointments

  • Has access to high quality interpretation services that allow them to understand their care plan to the fullest

  • Has access to the services they need; regardless of cost

We greatly appreciate you showing your support by making a donation today. Your help will strengthen our mission of providing access to quality healthcare to underserved communities.

Thank you for your generosity!
